Clean Up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day 2017 is happening on Sunday the 5th of March. Sign up to help clean, fix and conserve the earth.

Our country is a unique one, with its found-nowhere-else-on-earth flora and fauna, and its breathtaking natural scenery. The nature around us is wonderful, however, an evil lurks within it; an evil which threatens to damage and destroy nature in all its abundance in Australia: rubbish.

Australians throw away about 41 million tonnes of rubbish every year, but not all of it goes to landfill or recycling. Heaps of it is simply thrown onto the ground, left to endanger nearby animals. It's this rubbish that continually reappears and so needs to be cleaned up. This is where Clean Up Australia Day comes in.

Clean Up Australia Day is an annual event wherein people clean up public areas such as parklands to help conserve the environment. It's a great cause to volunteer and give your time for.
