Trouble in The Arctic

Global warming affects everyone, and it's going to affect the Inuit people of Northern Canada a lot more than it does now.

Companies that mine for resources have turned their eyes towards The Arctic in their search for oil reserves and deposits. Due to the rising sea levels and melting ice sheets, these companies can easily access The Arctic to try and find resources.

They use seismic blasting (loud pulses of sound) to search for resource reserves but haven't considered the negative impact that seismic blasting has on the native wildlife, and also the native Inuit people. The native animals of The Arctic use sound to communicate, find food, and ultimately survive. The seismic blasting. however, will interfere with the animals by creating additional sound waves which mess up their communications. This wreaks havoc on the wildlife and the Inuit people who depend on it for survival.

Something has to be done to stop the resource companies from destroying the wildlife of The Arctic, and you can help by signing a petition to convince the Canadian government to reconsider allowing seismic blasting in The Arctic.
